Tierra Whack Drops Visual For “MOOVIES”
Tierra Whack is keeping the music videos rolling from her 'WORLD WIDE WHACK' debut album with the release of the "MOOVIES" visual.
"MOOVIES" showcases a humorous take on the highs and lows of Tierra Whack's dating life. In her case, the movie dates she's on get gradually worse than the last, from the balloon animal popping on her to a cartoon figure spilling the soda on her. Despite the horrendous experiences, she takes on each new date with a smile, hoping to find that special someone. Whack collaborated with world-renowned contemporary artist and frequent collaborator Alex Da Corte to direct this video.
"Larry took me to see something scary/Maybe we can get married, merry-go-round. David took me to see The Matrix. Got me picking out a gown," she flows on the song's opening leading to her first verse. "Mister, can you take me on adventures? Treat me like a sister/ Gotta show me love, show me respect/Let's make memories we'll never forget/I need love, it ain't hard as you think/I want the popcorn, with the big ol' drink/I need love, let's catch the premier/Tickets on sale and there's love in the air, yeah."
Tierra Whack is a Philadelphia-born rapper, singer, and songwriter known for her eclectic and imaginative approach to music. She gained significant attention in 2018 with her debut visual album Whack World, a 15-minute collection of 15 one-minute songs, each accompanied by a unique music video. This project showcased her creativity and versatility, blending hip-hop, R&B, pop, and more with witty, quirky lyrics and bold visual aesthetics. World Wide Whack presents a darker and more introspective side of Whack, exploring personal struggles with mental health and self-doubt. The album mixes her signature whimsical style with deeper themes, reflecting on the emotional toll of her success.
