Chicago natives Pivot Gang leader Saba and “Godfather of Chicago Hip-Hop”, producer No ID dropped their highly anticipated joint album, From the Private Collection of Saba and No ID.

The 15-track project was years in the making. Intended to be a mixtape at first, the duo was patient with their creative process which included a hard reset. The project was thought to be finished last year until Saba had to grieve losing his Uncle, which changed his perspective. “He’s the person who made me fall in love with hip-hop. It made me want to re-approach things; I had to have a lot of conversations with myself that I hadn’t had to have in a long time," Saba says.

From the Private Collection of Saba and No ID, Saba and No ID look to forge a legacy of honesty. With features from BJ The Chicago Kid, Kelly Rowland, and Raphael Sadiiq, the album takes you on a whimsical journey of soul and nostalgia. The playful take on Janet Jackson's "I Get Lonely" sample for "Breakdown." The velvety beat the Saba raps over on "Crash." It's an album intense enough to lift weights to but smooth enough of a listen to wind down your day. "To be able to have a real career, you have to reinvent your thought process, reinvent your perspective,” No ID shared. “And you can’t do it sitting on the mountaintop, yelling about what you did. You think you know—and then everything changes.”

From the Private Collection of Saba and No ID was released on March 18th, 2025, and is currently on all streaming platforms. Check out the tracklist below.
