Nige Reflects On Heartbreak In “Don’t Cry” Video

Nige is reminiscing on a relationship gone wrong in his latest music video, "Don't Cry." Released on Aug 21st, Edgar Esteves and Igor Raevskii shot the heart-tugging visual.

In the visualizer, the singer-songwriter is reflecting on a bad breakup as he wakes up alone in a home he once shared with his ex. Scenes show him throughout the house, replaying arguments and fights with his former lover in his mind. The track, first teased on social media, gained some serious traction on Tiktok, which may have encouraged Nig to release a video for the song.

“I remember when I first made ‘Don’t Cry,’ I went back home and played it for some of the homies, and they all said it gave them goosebumps. That’s kinda when I knew it was going to be a big song that a lot of people could connect with. Then I teased the song once about 7 months ago. It got over 4 million views on TikTok, and till this day I get DMs and comments asking me to drop it." He continued, "This song is about the good, bad, and ugly parts of the relationship I was in and I’m delivering it as real and raw as possible to the world.”

This visual is the Washington, D.C. native's second of the year. The first was for his song, "War in The Trench." "There's a war in the trenches. Iin the streets there's a battle/I was born in the jungle. We just praying for survival," Nige sings in the opening lines. Stay tuned for more from the rising artist.
