Jazmine Sullivan's Announces Heaux Tales Is Certified Gold At Made In America Festival

Jazmine Sullivan’s critically acclaimed Heaux Tales Album is officially certified gold!


The Philly native announced the well-deserved news in her hometown on day 1 of Made In America. "It's a special day! I just found out that Heaux Tales has officially went gold," Sullivan shared on the Rocky stage. "And the city of Philadelphia just gave me the Liberty Bell yall backstage; I'm so honored. I don't always feel like I deserve to be here, but I'm so thankful for y'all for rocking with me for so long," she continued until her voice started to crack.      

During her time on stage, Jazmine led with her new singles "BPW" and "Lost Ones" from the Grammy Award-winning Heaux Tales project. Then for her OG fans, the Fearless singer performed "Lions, Tigers & Bears," "Bust Your Windows," and "Need You Bad," from her debut album. Before leaving the stage, Jazmine took time to address the "City of Brotherly Love,” with some positive words of affection.

"We need each other to survive, y'all. Times are hard. We need every face out there to survive so treat each other well. You never know what somebody is going through, so always show empathy. Always show love and kindness, because you really can save someone's life if you do that, you know that?"


Beyond streaming services, Jazmine Sullivan fans can look forward to catching her on The Voice was John Legend's advisor. "So excited to be joining @johnlegend & #TeamLegend as his Battle Advisor on #TheVoice" she shared on Instagram with a post pictured next to Legend, who joined the show as a judge during season 16.
