Review: Dennis Basso Spring 2023 Collection
Dennis Basso is all about the glitz and glam! The country club set living on the Upper East Side, the Hamptons, or if you're Kris Kenner, Calabasas home, attended the American fashion designer's fashion show season after season. While the front row reflects the "old money" --along with Jenner, seated in the front row were Star Jones, Martha Steward, and Carmen Dell'Orefice-- these ladies of a particular age love their fashions with a youthful twist.
Catering to their styling needs, Dennis Basso's Spring 2023 collection, which was also a celebration of 40 Years, featured beautiful florals, well-tailored trousers, and feather detailing. "Floral and fun, sophisticated and free-flowing, the pieces capture the spirit of the great resorts of the past from Newport to Southampton to Malibu and are perfectly crafted for the contemporary incarnation," Basso told the CFDA.
Of course, the collection wouldn't be complete without the furrier's signature fox, mink, and sable outwear, coming in cropped jackets, long vests, and shrug styles. Even with the furs, the collection maintained its light and delicate aesthetic as each garment graced the runway. "Every woman should be the most beautiful bloom in her own garden," the designer continued. It's safe to expect the Dennis Basso woman in full bloom come next spring.
