Review: Rains Spring/Summer 2023 Collection

Rains head of design Tanne Vinter continues to prove that style and utility can exist within a collection. Their Spring 2023 collection marks the brand's second showing during Paris Fashion Week. And this season, guests headed to Le Centquatre-Paris to preview what's new and innovative with the outerwear brand.

Titled "Connection," Vinter, who's already conquered the art of marrying fashion and function, opted to link the brand's ready-to-wear rain gear with another variety of clothes you get wet in, swimwear. Swim shorts, bikini bottoms, and scuba suits layered under full-length jackets and paired with skin-tight long and short sleeves tops and hoodies. As for what to wear in the Rain, RAINS continues to elevate waterproof daywear with oversized pockets on vests and quilted Bermuda shorts with matching jackets.

Rains look to be one of those brands with a stronger fall/winter show. The inclement weather that comes with fall and winter allows the brand to add more drama and pizzazz to the outerwear we're looking to wear for those seasons --though the poncho with the long rippling trains was moments worth capturing in slow motion. But, no matter the season, as rapper Jadakiss would say on T5D0A, "they say when it rains, it pours," and you'll definitely want to Rains in your wardrobe when it does.
