Janet Mock Was Everything That Glitters In Bibhu Mohapatra

Janet Mock is two for two with perfect red carpet moments in 2019 and the year is still just getting started. First, at the Golden Globe Mock stepped out in look 13 from Off-White’s Spring 2019 Collection. The sleeveless dress had a sports bra-like top under a one-shoulder draped gown with a thigh-high slit and an “off” logo written across the neckline. The New York Times bestselling author looked flawless. With her hair slicked back and teardrop earring she was a vision at the award show.

For the 2019 Writers Guild Awards Mock opted to wear another dress fresh off the runway, this time from designer Bibhu Mohapatra. Styled by Jason Bolden, the melted onyx and copper striped dress with an asymmetric hem and surprise, logo shoulder straps is look 20 from the Indian designer’s Fall 2019 collection and debuted on the catwalk alongside complicated (in a fashionable way) shirting, gold leaf print dresses, and luxe furs. The logo shoulder straps that read “Bibhu” from the evening wear guru was an unexpected yet successful stab at the logo trend. While both looks allow for Mock's shoulders to shine, in the Off-White number the main attraction was her thighs courtesy of the slit running the length of her leg. In the Bibhu look, however, the director and producer of “Pose” on FX’s network popped the tots out, hashtag hey cleavage. With nude pumps and bling black earrings (diamonds we’re assuming), we’re predicting Janet Mock is on her way to a third drop dead gorgeous red carpet moment.
