LFW Men's: Oliver Spencer Fall 2019 Collection
Graphic tees and premium denim; the drops"; streetwear culture; youth-driven movements, this is what’s hot in fashion right now! And while many designers have curved their artistic directions to be more in line with what’s en vogue, some stay the course. Oliver Spencer is one who didn’t veer from the essence of “menswear.” We're sure he knows that aside from the "Classic Man" (hey Jidenna) that regularly shops one of his five brick and mortar locations in London for their wardrobes, at some point, you'll have to wear something besides Off-White tees and Fear of God dungarees.
To satisfy both, a casual line up of fall separates debuted fit for the 20-year-old kids and 40-year-old cats. Spencer played with cobalt blue on corduroy set with a matching turtleneck and socks. He made light of suiting, presenting it in non-traditional fabrications such as velvet. Knits featured graphic designs; button-down shirts came in mix media prints, and outerwear was both transitional friendly for changing seasons and changing looks --the plaid bomber and blue corduroy jackets could work with t-shirts and jeans. With no street influence in sight, Oliver Spencer's could get looked over by the #hypebeast hashtag-ers blowing money on designer duds today. However, there will be a time when the boys will have to clean up the look (be it for a day or a lifestyle change), and Spencer will be ready to dress the man.
