Let's Talk About The Headgear At Gucci's Fall 2018 Show
It's a lot of things to ooh and aah about at Gucci's Fall 2018 show. Models carried severed heads, live serpents, and dragons if they weren't holding bags. Operating tables on the runway added to the eerie, hospital feel of the space. And of course, there were 90 head to toe looks of Alessandro Michele's over-embellished, print mixing, monogrammed, textured filled Gucci threads that we've all come to love since 2015 when Michele took the reigns at the Italian fashion house. However, our eyes focused on the headgear, starting with a baseball cap that looked like it had spent some time in Dapper Dan's Harlem atelier. The Yankees hat was covered in the brands interlocking G's. It was so New York, so Hip Hop, so Gucci, we can envision today's bunch of fly MC's from Pusha T to Fabolous in the luxury hat. There was also Mushmouth skullies, Dumb Donald face covering knit caps and Russell Cosby earflap headwear. See more of models topped off with Gucci in the slideshow below.
