Lingerie Blazers Aside, Here Are Six More Highlights From Dion Lee's Fall 2018 Collection
The split second you get to see a garment up close as it passes you by on the runway was all time needed to know that the bra-blazers at Dion Lee's Fall 2018 show are going to be a thing. The military and lingerie-inspired collection had several of them in grey plaid and the black and nude that opened the show and the concept was genius. As I got my split second to examine the long sleeve dresses, mock turtleneck shirts, and two-piece skirt suit --all with a built-in exposed brassiere-- I imagined the many showgoers who double as Dion Lee customers wearing these garments to his show next seasons just as sport his latest designs to his fall collection unveiling.
Other pieces from the collection shined too, so here are six more Highlights from Dion Lee's fall collection.
The X-Ray Dress: Also coming in a grey infused teal, the dress was revealing but appropriately sexy at the same time.
The Menswear: Keeping thing minimal, Lee's menswear standouts included cargo pants, knitwear and a black trench coat with silver medallion embellishment.
Look 24: The harness and belt, lace detailing on the knitwear and ankle boots, and blue and black color palette made look 24 perfect for Gabrielle Union in a Bad Boys Movie remake.
The Quilted Skirts: Tying in the military elements with the color and material, this quilted mini also came in a longer maxi style.
The Clavicle Exposing Sweaters: The knit turtlenecks with the heart bearing patch were another ingenious way Dion Lee chose to show skin.
The Outerwear: Covered in medallions, shaggy at the collar and rich in color, this coat one of best outerwear pieces seen all season.
