King of the red carpet and co-chair for the 2025 Met Gala ‘Superfine’ Tailoring Black Style, Colman Domingo aimed to hold his best dress title at this year’s event. Fit for the theme, Domingo hit the blue carpet in a custom Valentino by Alessandro Michele. The first layer of his look, a full-length blue cloak with a metallic shoulder and chest pad embellishing the garment, paid homage to the late Andre Leon Talley. He later revealed a monochrome window pane suit jacket, a polka dot tie, and a matching large flower broach on the jacket lapel, a button-down shirt with a waistcoat, and grey trousers.
Beyond his standout appearance at the 2025 Met Gala, Colman Domingo stars in Netflix’s new comedy series The Four Seasons, which premiered on May 1st. In the realm of film, Domingo portrays Joe Jackson in the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic Michael, directed by Antoine Fuqua and set for release on October 3. The highly anticipated film explores the life and legacy of the King of Pop, with Domingo taking on the complex role of Jackson's controversial father and manager. His performance is expected to bring depth and nuance to the character, adding emotional gravity to a film already generating early Oscar buzz.
